OUR STORY
GapScore was born out of cutting-edge research into DNA replication stress and cancer vulnerability. A team of oncology researchers and molecular biologists came together with a bold idea: what if the gaps left during DNA
replication could predict how a cancer will respond to treatment? Discovering that unrepaired replication gaps are a core vulnerability in certain tumors, the founders of
GapScore set out to turn this insight into a real-world diagnostic. They secured initial research funding and demonstrated that a ‘Gap Score’ assay could differentiate chemo-sensitive cancers from resistant ones. Encouraged
by early results, the team spun out of their academic labs to form GapScore, with the goal of bridging the gap between genomic discovery and patient care.”
